UNDER THE MOUNTAIN REPORT

Paragraph 1 intro 

There is a book called Under the Mountain and a movie. They are both great because they both carry the same message about how the twins defeat the wilberforces. It is also a NZ children’s classic.written by Maurice Gee it was written in 1979. There are 192 pages in the book.

 

Paragraph 2

I think the book under the mountain is a very good book because when you read it you can get a really, good picture in your mind so I would give a 5 star review. There are lots of characters like Rachel, Theo,the old man, The wilberforces, Aunt noeline and uncle clarry there are a lot of places in the book. like Auckland lake pupuke and aunt noeline and uncle clarry house.mount eden mount wellington, mount rangitoto and one tree hill. The problem in the story is the wilberforces, slugs and the monsters that are trying to kill the Matheson twins, and the twins are trying to defeat the wilberforces, slugs and monsters.The book made me feel quite scared .The book has no boring bits.

 

Paragraph 3

 The movie is great because the graphics are amazing.It is almost the same as the book is almost the same but, things like ricky doesn’t have a beach buggy. so i would give it a 4 and half out of 5 stars. but overall i think it is great.

 

Paragraph 4 how do you feel about the movie/book  

When I first read the book it wasn’t very scary.When I was watching the movie I got the shock of my life. It was so scary I almost got a heart attack.

 

Paragraph 5 -conclusion/summary 

Even though the book is great I would just watch the movie.I think the movie is cooler because it is very scary and the graphics are great.The book is a very good book you get a great picture in your mind so in conclusion they are both great.            THE END
